rb.alt.rants is the RootBadger group for venting, blunt criticism, hard arguments, and letting off steam. This group exists because not every discussion is tidy. Sometimes people want to complain, argue, criticize an idea, pick apart a trend, or say exactly why something annoys them. rb.alt.rants gives that energy a place to go without dragging every serious group into a fight. The group is for strong opinions, not personal campaigns. You may argue hard. You may criticize ideas, public claims, public behavior, software, politics, culture, companies, media, bad decisions, annoying trends, and whatever else has earned a rant. You may be sharp, direct, sarcastic, irritated, or impatient. But this is still RootBadger, and the line is clear. Allowed: * argue hard * criticize ideas * vent * rant about public topics * complain about software, culture, politics, media, or trends * disagree bluntly Not allowed: * targeted harassment * threats * doxxing or posting private information * slurs or hate content * following people into other groups to continue a fight * using this group as a base for brigading, stalking, or abuse The difference is simple: attack the argument, the idea, the public claim, or the situation. Do not turn the group into a place for targeting people. If a rant starts here, keep it here. Do not chase users into other groups because they disagreed with you. Do not use rb.alt.rants to poison unrelated discussions elsewhere. rb.alt.rants should be a pressure valve, not a weapon.
